The Medical Consequences Of Delaying Toilet Time

There are a lot of daily habits that can be postponed, but doing number two is certainly not one of them.

Defecating is a prerequisite for good health. There are many problems that can arise if people stopped releasing toxins through pooping, and for some, the delay ends tragically.

A 16 year-old girl named Emily Titterington from England died on 8 February 2013 for failing to poop for eight long weeks. She had a mild autism and has dealt with bowel issues for most of her life. She had severe fear of toilets that she withheld stool until it threatened her life. Her cause of death was a fatal heart attack due to an enlarged bowel. Her failure to lose her stool resulted in her bowel shifting around and compressing her organs.

Delaying toilet time, even once, can be dangerous because it makes waste pile up inside the body. People who suspend bowel release may experience constipation, cramping, and bloating. As the body’s waste product dries out, it becomes impacted and can block body systems. In situations where laxative will no longer do, removing impacted bowel could require a person to undergo surgery. Moreover, it can lead to a patient’s death.

Stop delaying toilet time and live a healthy, full life.
